What is a Cinemagraphic™ Story?
Cinemagraphic™ is an innovative visual story format that blends cinematic pacing with comic book paneling, designed to read more like a show than a traditional comic.
The format achieves this by following these essential rules:
- No Narrated Exposition Dumps. No Thought Bubbles
- All details of the world and story Must come from the visuals and dialogue
- Panels Imply Motion and Internal Feelings of Characters
- A scene is "acted out" by character dialogue and visuals in sequential panels until the scene is changed.
- Intentional Pacing: One Page = One Minute of Screen Time
- This change leads to an increased page count —landing typically between 30-50 pages in total per issue— mirroring the structure of a prestige TV episode in length and content density.
- Every Issue Contains One Full Story Beat of a Defined Run
- Each Issue has a self-contained beginning, middle, and end that's place is clearly marked in an overarching storyline. If the series is ongoing, story arcs are titled as well for clarity. (Example: Series Title —Arc Subtitle— #x of y).
